Why doesn’t the RAMBAM include pride as one of the the Torah’s prohibitions? How is pride connected to idol worship? What is our “little horse”? Leaving the “victim mentality” behind. While life is not always easy, viewing our family, friends and experiences through the perspective of Torah enables us to maintain emotional balance, be productive and not be overwhelmed by the many challenges we face. When we choose to live with the awareness that everything is from Hashem, everything is good and nothing is random, we engage life with strength and positivity; not as a passive victim of people and circumstances. While we can’t control what comes our way, we can choose the best way to react to each situation!
